Our storage vessel is crafted entirely from Duplex 2205 stainless steel, meeting the standards of EN 1.4462 and ASTM S3 2205/S31803, with a PRE value of 35. This Ferritic-Austenitic steel offers a combination of high strength, exceptional corrosion resistance, stress corrosion cracking resistance, and excellent pitting resistance.
This marine-grade Duplex steel provides low thermal expansion and high chloride resistance, making it ideal for use in particularly aggressive water conditions (chloride content exceeding 100mg/litre). Its superior strength-to-weight ratio allows the finished cylinder to be substantially lighter than those made from other materials.
